Special Smudge

I was cleaning up the kitchen tonight and found one smudge in particular that was too special to wipe up. Who can resist a sweet little Sam handprint? It makes me smile every time I walk by and see it so I think I'll just leave it there for a while!

Rusty the Stroller Dog

We love to go on family walks through our neighborhood. I usually push Sam in his stroller and Adam is in charge of holding Rusty's leash since he is such a strong pup! It seems like every time we go walking Sam always begs to hold Rusty's leash and today Rusty finally slowed down enough that Sam was able to hold the leash and "walk" Rusty himself - he was so proud!

Bedtime with Sam & Rusty

I just could not resist taking this picture tonight. It is a perfect snapshot of the view from Sam's rocker where we sit together every night. Our sweet pup Rusty comes and sits or lays in front of us and rests while we read and say our prayers before bed. When I get ready to put Sam down, Rusty stands up too and noses through the crib to get one more sniff of his boy and then walks out the door with me. Bedtime is such a special time with Sam each day and I'm so happy Rusty likes to share it with us!

Fun at the Farm

Adam, Sam, Bobi & Rusty took a quick trip to the farm this afternoon. This was Sam's first trip out there and he had so much fun looking at all of the horses (hoosies) and cows.

Daddy's Chair

It's "Fweeeezing"!!

We have had quite a few days of "fweezing" weather, as Sam would say, but today we finally got something pretty out of it all - snow! Some large flakes started falling mid-afternoon and continued for a good while. I doubt it will be enough to keep us home tomorrow but it sure is fun while it lasts.

and stood at the window so long that he finally took a seat and stayed a while. I love his little open mouth in this picture. :)

Sam has a new friend - Mr. Sam I Am from Dr. Seuss. He was as happy as he could be and ready for bed with his "meanie" (blankie) in one hand and little Sam in the other hand.

Rusty's Little Assistant

Sam and Rusty are certainly a funny pair. Tonight, Sam kept holding up his cell phone to Rusty's ear and saying "Hellooo......Bye" over and over again. Rusty just stood there like he was listening to someone very important talking on the phone.

Movie Buddy

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my days off every week? Sam and I have been SO lazy today and laid in bed watching Cars - our favorite!

National Signing Day

The day most college football fans look forward to for months has finally arrived - National Signing Day. For weeks, many late night message board chats had taken place at our house in speculation of what great recruits Ole Miss would sign for next season. Adam and some of his friends went to the Rebel Club Signing Day party tonight in Jackson and look who Adam got to see - Coach Nutt!

But while Dad was away.....Sam and I had a party of our own at home.

I guess we shouldn't take pictures if we don't want Dad to find out, but I couldn't resist! ;) Adam and I usually go in and peek at Sam sleeping every night before we go to bed and almost every night after we walk out I tell Adam that one day I am going to climb in that crib to snuggle with Sam because he looks so comfy. I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm crazy for wanting to get in there but I decided to do just that tonight and Sam thought it was the funniest thing ever!
