Indoor Camping

Sam loves his new tent and sleeping bag that Lili & Shuffie gave him for Christmas.  He insisted on "camping" on the floor in his room!

Mimi's Christmas

Tonight we went to Mimi's house to celebrate Christmas with the Parrish families.
Sam was all smiles and ready to celebrate as soon as we walked in!
Little Jack wasn't as sure as Sam.  He was feeling a little shy and stayed close to Daddy for a while.

Merry Christmas!

Look at what Santa left for Sam & Jack last night!  They have certainly been very good boys this year!

And we also found a very important message from Fred on our Christmas tree.  We took a picture of this message to share with the rest of our friends that didn't know about Morgan.

After the boys opened their presents, Adam and I opened our presents that Sam made us at school.  I just love the gift tag he made with his family drawn on it.

So pretty!

We love this!

"The Candy Cane"

Lili & Shuffie brought donuts this morning after we finished opening presents and then it was time to bundle up and go outside to take a spin in the new jeep.

This guy is proud of his new wheels!

After naps today we went to have our Christmas celebration with Lili, Shuffie & Meme at Lili & Shuffie's house.  We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed our time together.  So thankful for our many blessings this year and for the time we have been able to spend with each other and our families.  Merry Christmas!

Surprise!

I wrapped up this pink "Baby's First Christmas" ornament and we gave it to Bobi tonight as one of her Christmas presents.  Nobody even knew we were going to the doctor yesterday, so it was quite a surprise when she opened it and they all realized we already knew the gender of the baby.  After we told the grandparents, we were finally able to tell Sam.  We knew if we told him first he would have given away our secret!  He was thrilled to find out about his sister, although not very surprised since he had been telling us for a few weeks that it was definitely a girl.  We are having so much fun sharing our secret and letting everyone know about our baby girl!

It's a.....

...very healthy...

...GIRL!!!!

I cannot begin to express the shock and excitement I felt when the sonographer revealed the gender of this sweet baby.  It was very emotional for me!  What a special day to find out about my precious Morgan on my grandfather Morgan's birthday.  I was so relieved to know that she was healthy and growing right on schedule.  What a blessing!

The boys were staying with Lili this morning while they all thought I was working for a while.  Adam and I had decided to keep our appointment a secret so we could surprise everyone with the gender around Christmas.  I left the doctor's office and went shopping for a few girl items to use to share our good news with family tonight and tomorrow.  This is a picture of Morgan's first dress I bought her.  She will look great in it next Thanksgiving!

Tonight, we went out to eat with Lili & Shuffie and handed them a bag to open with a pink bow headband in it.  They couldn't believe it!!  Tomorrow night we will share the good news with Adam's family at their Christmas celebration.  So thankful for the blessing of another healthy baby!  We can't wait to meet you Morgan Marie!

Look What Jack Did at School Today!

Look What Sam Did at School Today!

Sam's Preschool Christmas Program

So thankful that Sam was feeling so much better and able to perform in The Weekday Preschool's Christmas program this morning.

The program was held in the church sanctuary.

I have to admit, tears came to my eyes as I saw my sweet little man marching in the sanctuary for his first school program.  He looked so big and grown-up and I was so proud of him.  He was all smiles as he walked up on stage and did a great job performing all of the songs.  He spent a good bit of the program waving and blowing kisses and I kept waving and blowing kisses right back at him!  I feel quite sure he won't be waving at mom in the crowd like that forever and I wasn't going to let those moments pass me by!

After the program was over, all of the parents were invited back to the classrooms to see what the kids had been working on over the past few weeks.  Sam had done a great job on his crafts and I was so excited this was our last day of school and work for a few weeks so we could spend some time together at home enjoying the holidays.  Great job today in your program, Sam!!  Mama and Daddy love you so much and are so proud of you!

Sam Caught It...

Now we have not one, but two sad little sick faces in our house.  Sam woke up with fever this morning and was very congested like Jack has been lately.  I was immediately concerned that he had caught Jack's RSV.

I got Sam an early afternoon appointment at the after-hours clinic.  They were pretty busy so we decided to make silly "selfies" to help the time pass by quicker.

Dr. Meador checked Sam out and surprised me with the news that Sam had an ear infection and probably also had a sinus infection.  He wasn't sure if he was dealing with some of  Jack's RSV but he explained that it exhibited itself differently in older kids and that we wouldn't need to do breathing treatments for Sam like we are doing for Jack.  Dr. Meador called an antibiotic in for Sam and told me he should be feeling better in a few days.

Get well, my sweet boys!!

2013 Eaton Christmas Party

Tonight, Adam, Sam and I went to the Eaton's Christmas party.  Unfortunately, poor Jack had to stay with Lili & Shuffie since he was still under the weather with RSV.
Before we ate dinner, the kids had fun playing with Christmas stickers

After we ate, all of the kids and some adults loaded up in the back of the trailer to ride around the neighborhood and look at the Christmas lights.

Sam had been playing with an old camcorder inside the house and he felt the need to take it along on the hayride to "video" all of the excitement!
When the hayride was over, the kids came inside to find quite a surprise waiting for them.  It was Santa!!
Sam went right up to the big guy for a hug!
Sam was really checking him out.

 Cousins with Santa
All of the kids with Santa.  They looked so precious!
As Santa was leaving the party to return to the North Pole, Sam stood with his face glued to the front window.  He was very curious to see if Santa had come in his sleigh with reindeer.

What a fun night enjoying the holidays festivities.  The days left until Christmas are dwindling and it won't be long until Santa visits our house!!
