Super Halloween!

Tonight Adam and I roamed the streets of Fox Bay feeling a little safer than usual.  We had two superheroes along to protect us while we were trick-or-treating!

Spiderman...

...and The Hulk.

We went around with our neighbors, The Strehlows, and had a great time watching Sam and Semmes trick-or-treat together.

Semmes' costume was hilarious and so creative.  He was a hobo and had a "Will Work for Candy" sign hanging around his neck.

Ahhh!  Look at this skeleton we found laying around!

He didn't phases these two.  :)

Along our route our neighborhood friend, Olivia, and her family joined us.  She was Snow White and looked so precious with these two tough boys.  They all had such a fun time getting candy and riding around together in the wagon.  We are so thankful to be surrounded with such sweet families in our neighborhood!

After we finished with Semmes and Olivia we drove over to see Banks and Hayes, who were Captain Hook and Jake.  The cousins loved seeing each other but we couldn't stay long because it was getting close to bedtime and we still had one more stop, Lili and Shuffie's house.  Lili, Shuffie and Meme had Halloween Happies for the boys to open and they wanted to get a superhero hug before the night ended.

We had a busy but fun time with our "super" boys tonight.  Happy Halloween!

Blastball Game - Week 5 - Maroon vs. Orange

Brrrrr!!  It sure was cold this morning at Blastball but that didn't bother those sweet kids.

Before the game started, Sam practiced a little with Kate Gray.

Getting warmed up and ready to go!  Go Maroon team!

Fun with Cousin McLean

This morning we met our cousins Sylvia and McLean for a play date at music class.

All of the boys had so much fun together and I found out that Sam is quite the little hula hooper!

After class we met Lili & Meme for lunch at Primos.  McLean and Sam were so funny together.  Sam had him laughing throughout most of our lunch.  So glad these cousins know each other!

Jack and McLean didn't get to visit much at Primos since I was sitting between them.  They both ate a very good lunch though and enjoyed the catfish.  I know these three will have lots of fun as they get older.  We are thankful for extended family!

Goodbye, Formula!

With Jack's first birthday being less than two weeks away I decided to see how he would react to some whole milk.  Sam was pretty easy to wean off formula, but knowing every child is different I wanted to give Jack time to adjust if need be.  He has been practicing with a straw for a while and has gotten to be a pro at it so I knew he wouldn't really miss the bottle.  From the first sip of milk he took this morning he was sold.  He was all smiles and drained the whole cup of milk while he ate his Nutri-Grain bar for breakfast.  I don't think he is going to have any trouble saying goodbye to his formula bottles!

Cousin Adventures

Bobi took Sam and Jack to play with Banks and Hayes today while I was at work.

Sweet little buddies, Jack and Hayes, had fun driving.

These soldiers meant business!

After some outdoor fun, the boys came inside and had a concert.  Baby Jack played along from his seat on the floor.

These four worked up quite the appetite after all of their adventures.  Love these boys!

Jack's First Haircut

I had put it off long enough.  As much as I didn't want my baby to get a big boy haircut, he really needed a trim.

Sam was a very positive big brother and kept assuring Jack that there was nothing to be afraid of!  ;)

We love Ms. LaMarian and made sure she was working tonight before we stopped by.  She always does a great job on Sam's hair and is so sweet to him so I didn't want anyone else cutting Jack's hair but her!

This sweet guy was a trooper.  He didn't flinch or shed one tear and about halfway through he just relaxed, rested his head on my chest and decided to suck his thumb.
Great job, Jack!  You are growing up to be such a big boy!

So Proud of Himself!

Daddy's Family Birthday Party

Tonight everyone gathered at Pop Pop & Bobi's house to celebrate Adam's 29th birthday.

This Daddy sure loves his boys!

Jack has really started pulling up lately and spent most of the night standing around.  I bet it feels much better than sitting all the time.

The two cousins had a fun night partying and playing together.  Aren't they cute?

Happy Birthday, Adam!  We love you!

Adam's 10th High School Reunion

Last night was Adam's 10th High School Reunion.  The Jackson Prep Class of 2002 got together at Hal and Mal's downtown.

Can you believe I knew this boy ten years ago when he graduated from high school?

Elizabeth, Carlin, Adam & Kennedy

Sam Waters hasn't changed one bit.  Still SO much fun to be around!

Adam and Matt Willoughby

It was such a fun night with all of Adam's classmates and their spouses.  We really enjoyed catching up and hearing about what everyone has been doing the past ten years.  Before we know it another ten years will have flown by and we'll be getting together again!  It is so neat that true friendships stand the test of time whether or not we actually see each other face to face.

Jack's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Today's fun didn't end after Sam's soccer game was over.  After lunch we changed the boys into their Halloween clothes and drove out to the Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch.

Jack fell asleep in the car on our way there so we let him snooze while we waited in line.

Lili, Sam & Shuffie hanging out on the hay bales.

They were pretty busy today and Sam sure was patient!

Daddy and Sam

Look who woke up!!

They finally called our number and we hopped on the trailer for the hay ride.

Sam loved looking at all of the animals...

...and so did Jack!

We couldn't have asked for a prettier day!

"Mom, what is a Zedonk?"

"Mom, what are all of those big round orange balls?"

We made it safely to the pumpkin patch and Sam was ready to pick out the perfect pumpkin as soon as the trailer stopped.

They had lots of good ones to choose from!

I slowed everybody down just long enough to take a few family pictures...

...and then they were ready to keep moving!

These sweet souls are without a doubt my heart!!

Sam acting silly in the corn.  :)

Thanks for the help swinging, Shuffie.

We had a fantastic day enjoying the beautiful fall weather and family time.  Jack didn't have quite as much fun as Sam, since he isn't mobile yet, but I promised him we'd go back next year and let him run around with his big brother.  Happy Fall!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today Adam celebrated the last birthday of his twenties!

Bobi helped Sam and Jack make him a special card that they brought when we all met for lunch at Heart and Soul Diner.  The food was delicious and Sam loved that we were celebrating his daddy's birthday.

Tonight, Lili was kind enough to keep the boys so we could have a double date at Sombra with our good friends Jim and Jacqueline.  We always have such a good time with them!  When we got back home Sam sang "Happy Birthday" to Daddy and then we cut into his cookie cake.  It was delicious.

We had such a wonderful day celebrating someone who is SO special to all three of us.  I really can't imagine a better husband or father and feel so blessed we get to love him every day.  Happy Birthday, Daddy!  We hope you always know how loved and appreciated you are!
