That's My Boy...

...Always making us laugh!  :)

Look What Sam Did at School Today!

Celebrating Sam's Birthday at School

After breakfast, Jack and I went up to The Weekday Preschool to be a part of Sam's late birthday celebration.  All of the kids in his class with summer birthdays were given the option to celebrate at the beginning of this school year or the end.  We decided to have another party right away!

Yummy baseball cookie cake.

The sweet birthday boy being such a good helper and passing out napkins to his class.

What a fun day celebrating Sam's birthday with his new friends at school!

Breakfast with Jack

After we dropped Sam off at school this morning, Jack and I went to Beagle Bagel since we had a little free time before we went back up to the school for Sam's late birthday celebration.

This boy LOVES him some fruit!

Sweet face!  I can't imagine better company for breakfast on this Friday morning.

Jack Meets His Teachers

Well, I just finish sending one boy off to school and before I can blink it's time for my other baby to go back to "school."

Today, Jack and I went to our church to meet his Mother's Morning Out teachers, Mrs. Celeste & Mrs. Linda.  He was all smiles before we got out of the car and went in.

We also found out that Jack's friend, Robert, will be in his class again this year.  Great news!

We are looking forward to another great year with the Mother's Morning Out program at Christ United Methodist Church.

Sam's First Day of Four-Year-Old Preschool

Today's the day!!  Sam's first day of four-year-old preschool.

Sam's Doodlebug carpool tag. #75.

Sam's school bag.

The sign that made me cry last night while I was making it.  I can't believe the time has flown by so quickly.

Look how handsome my four-year-old looks!

SO excited that today is the first day of school!!

School bag...check!  Carpool tag..check!

Let's go, Mom!

But wait!  We can't leave without hugging our buddy Rusty and telling him goodbye.

My view from the carpool pickup line today.

I have never had a three hour span of time go by as slowly as it did today while Sam was at school.  I dropped Sam off in the carpool line around 8:45 this morning and Jack and I were lined back up at 11:45 waiting anxiously to pick him up and hear all about his day.  He reported that his first day was great and he was looking forward to going back on Wednesday.  Here's to a great year of preschool!

Baptism Buddies

Jack says, "Long time no see, Matthew!"

Today, Adam and I kept Jack's age group in the church nursery.  We were pleasantly surprised to run into the little boy, Matthew, who was baptized the same day Jack was at our church in April 2012. These boys have certainly grown a lot since they were last together.

High School Football

Tonight, Adam, Sam & Jim went to eat dinner at Sonny's before going to the Northwest Rankin High School football game.

My sweet boy always knows when to put his hand over his heart.

So glad that these two had such a fun guys' night out.  Sam is very lucky to have such a good Daddy who loves spending time with him!

Sam Meets His Teachers

I think I've been in denial for some time, but the arrival of this precious invitation last week made me realize that it was about to happen ready or not.  My sweet boy Sam is about to start school.

Today, Sam and I went to The Weekday Preschool at Christ United Methodist Church to meet his teacher, Mrs. Walker, and his teaching assistant, Mrs. Cathy.  He will be in the three-day-a-week Doodlebug classroom.

Mrs. Walker met us in the hall and took Sam down to his classroom just the two of them.  They played for a little while and she gave him his school bag and his Doodlebug carpool tag.  When they came back down the hall about ten minutes later, he was beaming from ear to ear.

I am thrilled that Sam is so happy about starting school and pray that he has a wonderful year.

So thankful to have made this memory with my sweet boy today.  I'm so proud of you, Sam!

Thankful for Another Year

This morning we met Shuffie, Lili & Meme at Char to have brunch together for my birthday.

Jack's favorite part was definitely dessert!

So thankful for the blessing of another year of health, happiness and time with my family.  Any day I get to spend with these two boys is the best!  I had a wonderful birthday!

Double Birthday Celebration

Tonight we met Bobi, Mimi, Mammy, Didi, Easy, Banks & Hayes at Sombra to eat dinner for two upcoming birthdays, mine and Easy's.
After dinner, we all went to Didi & Easy's so the boys could play...
 ...and we could eat cupcakes.
The big boys had to blow out their very own candle.
I had help from little Jack with my candle.

Happy Birthday, Easy!  Can't believe we are both almost another year older!
