Learning About Football

"What is this game that has been on my TV all day long?"

"Daddy says football season has started and I just don't think I can watch another minute!  It's been on all day!"

Look What Sam Did at School Today!

Weekend Guest

Sam was given the honor of bringing home his class bird, Rocket, for the weekend.

Rocket is such a cute little bird and I know Sam will take good care of him until it's time to go back to school on Tuesday.

Four Month Checkup

"Shots for ME today??  Surely you're joking, Mama!"

This morning I took Morgan for her four month checkup with Dr. Adcock.  She weighed 14 lbs (67th percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (68th percentile).  Dr. Adcock was very pleased with her growth and thought she was right on track with her development.  He mentioned trying some Stage 1 baby foods and also thought it would be fine to try and switch to the Similac Sensitive formula.  Before we left the clinic, Didi came back to our room and gave Morgan three shots.  She was a trooper for her vaccines and quit crying shortly after the shots were over.   So thankful for a great report on my healthy, growing girl!

Rebels 2014 Season Opener

We are so excited that the Ole Miss football season started tonight!

Morgan looked precious in her cheerleader outfit.

Sam helped Morgan with some of her cheers.  She was loving it!

Great win tonight, Rebels!  Hotty Toddy!

Lost Without Sam

Today was the first day of the school year that I was off work, Sam was in school and Jack wasn't.  Boy, things just didn't feel right at our house.

Jack was definitely lost without Sam and wasn't sure what to do at home without his brother.  He kept walking around asking me if it was time to go pickup Sam from school yet.

We were so excited when the clock struck 11:00 and it was almost time to leave to go get Sam.  We decided to bring Rusty along with us for the ride in hopes of surprising Sam with an extra friend in the carpool line.

Rusty was a good front seat passenger and brought a huge smile to Sam's face when he saw Rusty in the car.  Sam wasn't the only one smiling in the carpool line...Jack was grinning from ear to ear and was thrilled to be reunited with his playmate after a VERY long morning.  We miss you when you aren't at home with us, Sam!

Relaxed Much?

We Love Legos!

Our first lego rental set from My Pley arrived this week and Sam didn't waste any time getting it put together.  He did a great job following the directions and completing the set with almost no help from me or Adam.  Great job, Sam!

Double Coverage

Lili made a hilarious discovery today before nap time.  Sam went to use the restroom before he got in bed and realized he had worn not one, but two pair of underwear to school today!  This boy keeps us all laughing.  :)

Jack's Meet the Teacher

This morning Jack and I got dressed and ready to go meet his Mother's Morning Out teachers for the coming school year.  He was excited!

We had a little bit of time to spare between dropping Sam off at school and our teacher meeting, so we decided to stop for breakfast at Beagle Bagel.

My date sure is handsome and so entertaining!

We had a fun morning visiting with Ms. Judy and Ms. Tracy.  I know Jack is going to be in great hands this year and will have so much fun at Mother's Morning Out.

Sam's First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Sam's first day of Kindergarten at The Weekday Preschool.

He looked so handsome and was looking forward to seeing his friends after the long summer break.

To celebrate a successful first day of school, we dropped off Morgan and Jack at Lili's house and picked up Daddy from work and had a special lunch at Wendy's just the three of us.

That frosty looks delicious!

Adam and I are so proud of our big boy.  We pray he has a wonderful Kindergarten year full of sweet friends, great teachers and lots of learning.  We love you, Sam!

Unwanted Visitor

This little guy nearly scared me to death tonight!  I was sitting on our bed and something to the right of me caught my attention out of the corner of my eye.  Much to my surprise, this little frog had hopped out from underneath our bed and was going towards the bathroom.  I quickly jumped up, screamed for Adam and waited for him to escort our unwanted visitor back outside where he belongs!

Morgan's Baptism

Today was a very special day for our family.  Our sweet girl, Morgan, was baptized this morning at our church.

Two handsome brothers all dressed up for church.

Morgan wore the same gown I wore when I was baptized 29 years ago.  How special!

Another special touch was made possible by Sandra Ashford.  We took the dress to her for some neck alterations and she was also able to embroidery my name and Morgan's name and our birth dates on the slip of the dress.  It will be such a special keepsake and something I hope we continue to pass down through the family.

I have certainly been blessed with more than I deserve.  These three angels have my heart!

And their Daddy is pretty awesome, too.  I'm so thankful for our family.

We were very thankful to have so many precious friends and family join us to witness this special day for our family.

The lady of honor being carried out of the church so we could go to the luncheon that was held in her honor.

We had a luncheon at Pop Pop and Bobi's house immediately following the church service.

The cake was beautiful and delicious!

We couldn't be more proud of her.  What a blessing!

We were showered with gifts and so much love today as we promised in front of family and friends to raise our precious daughter in a Christian home.  I am so very thankful to the Lord for giving us this incredible gift and I look forward to raising her to know Him, love Him and serve Him.  I'm so thankful for all three of our sweet babies today and everyday.  We have been blessed!
