Look What Sam Did at School Today!

Early Trick-or-Treating

Because of the threat of bad weather rolling in on Halloween night, most of the local neighborhoods change their trick-or-treating to tonight so all the kids didn't miss out on any fun!

My two sweet soldiers armed with their candy baskets. Let's go!

Our first stop was next door to meet up with our neighbors, the Strehlows. Soldier Sam and Chef Semmes were quite a pair. (Not pictured: two very precious little brothers, Jack the smaller soldier and Spencer the lobster).

Jack wasn't too sure about going up to the different doors...

...but the two big boys weren't worried at all.

They had loads of fun running as fast as they could from door to door for more candy.

Near the end, sweet Jack finally got up his courage and got the hang of trick-or-treating. He was brave!

Brave Soldiers

After school today, the cousins got together for some lunch and play time at Pop Pop & Bobi's house.

Jack didn't have his soldier costume handy...

...but he was perfectly content being a pretty precious cowboy!

Jack's School Halloween Party

Jack also had a Halloween party at school today. He came home with such a cute little bag of treats!

Sam's School Halloween Party

Today was Sam's school Halloween party.

They started off the festivities with a parade around the church. All of the kids wore their costumes and they went through the church offices with paper bags to trick-or-treat.

Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Cathy were dressed as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Too funny!

After the parade, everybody went back to their classrooms for a party.

Sam's class worked on a fall wreath while they were eating their party snacks.

I had such a fun time with Sam at his party and am so thankful I have a flexible job that allows me to leave work and be with my boys for these special events. I was about to leave the party and when I went to tell Sam bye he looked up and said, "Thanks for coming to my party mama. I'm glad you were here." These days are fleeting and there is no where else I would rather be!!

Baby Milner Checkup

Today I went for another checkup with Dr. Cole. Baby Milner looked great on the ultrasound and had a very strong heartbeat. The hemorrhage hasn't shrunk but also hasn't grown any so that was good news. Unfortunately, I am still very nauseous and tired but I'm hoping this will pass by the time the holidays arrive. Dr. Cole was pleased with how the baby and I were doing and released me from my weekly appointments. I won't go back again for four weeks. Thankful for another good report!

Field Trip to the Ag Museum

This morning I went with Sam and his preschool class on a field trip to visit the pumpkin patch at the Ag Museum.

After the hayride, the kids had a snack and got a chance to walk around and check out all of the animals.

After the kids chose a pumpkin, Sam and I stayed a little longer to explore with Ray and his mom.

What a fun time with this sweet group of kids. I'm so glad I was able to go!

Shuffie's Day Off

Sam and Jack stayed with Lili today while I was at work and they got an extra treat - playtime with Shuffie! Shuffie was home from work today and they had such a fun day together.
