*He is wearing size 4 diapers, 12-18 month clothes and a size 5 shoe!
*He has 4 teeth..almost 5.
*He is a great eater! I'm pretty sure that the baby food meat isn't his favorite, but as Dr. Sherwood says..who likes that dog food anyway?
*He has been practicing picking up food and feeding himself with Puffs. He has gotten really good at grasping them with his little fingers but sometimes he thinks it is more fun to play with them than eat them!
*He is drinking (4) 6 oz bottles a day.
*He is still sleeping between 10-11 hours a night without a peep - even after we took away his sleep sack a few nights ago. Those of you who know about his love for swaddling understand what a big step this was for him - but I told him it was time to sleep like a big boy =)
*He absolutely LOVES to play peek-a-boo - anytime, anywhere. The best is when he tilts his head from side to side when he wants someone to play with him.
*He has just recently found his voice and he loves to try it out by squealing.
*He claps all the time. It is the funniest thing to hear his little hands slapping together. Anytime someone says "Yay!" or music comes on he goes to town dancing and clapping.
*He loves to crawl into the bathroom and stand up on the side of the bathtub. He is amazed that he can turn the shiny knob and make water come out. It always makes him laugh! He also loves taking a bath and splashing around. His legs and arms rarely stop moving the entire time he is in the bathtub.
*He is moving fast these days - crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything - and he is fearless!! One minute he will be standing up holding on to the edge of something and the next he just lets go and turns around. He has gotten pretty good at catching himself when he is falling but that doesn't mean he hasn't gotten a few bumps and bruises along the way. He is definitely all boy!!
*He has started following me everywhere I go around the house and is pretty good at keeping up - especially since he has gotten to be such a speedy crawler. I love my little shadow!
*He and Rusty are the best of friends. Rusty is so sweet and gentle with him and doesn't even bother his toys. Sam, on the other hand, wants to play with every toy Rusty owns and tries to swipe a bone anytime one is within his reach. Sam also can't keep his hands out of Rusty's water bowl, but it is giving us a good opportunity to start teaching him the meaning of "No!"
*He has the funniest little personality and tries to get the attention of anyone that will look at him when we are out and about. He feels the need to laugh anytime others around him are laughing and almost always has a big smile on his face.
I say this every month, I know, but really - where does the time go? Soon we will be celebrating Sam's 1st birthday - 365 days of fun, laughter and lots of love - more than we could have ever imagined. We love you Sam and are so thankful to have you in our lives!
