Eleven Months Old!

What has Sam been up to lately?

*He is wearing size 4 diapers, 12-18 month clothes and size 5 shoes.

*He has 6 teeth and I'm on the lookout for two more any day now. He has been drooling and gnawing on his hands a good bit lately - poor little boy!

*He gives the best hugs in the world! My favorite is when we go get him out of his crib every morning and he immediately wraps his arms around your neck, lays his head down on your shoulder and pats your back. So sweet!!

*He is still sleeping great and not waking up in the night at all. He usually goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up between 7 and 7:30. His morning naps come and go but he still takes a good afternoon nap, usually 1-2 hours.

*He is BUSY BUSY BUSY. We have been working on learning the meaning of "No, No" since he feels the need to explore and get into everything. His favorite thing to do is playing in Rusty's water bowl, which is a big no no around here. We always shake our head when we tell him no and lately he will shake his own head when he is doing something he knows he shouldn't....talk about having to turn around so he doesn't see me laugh..it sure is hard to keep a straight face! =)

*He is extremely close to walking..I think. He will walk everywhere as long as he can barely hold on to something - even if it means just touching the wall with a finger as he goes by. He just won't let go - so who knows. I guess since crawling is working out well for him he isn't really in a hurry.

*He is babbling and talking all the time and will try to say just about anything we say. His favorite words are "da-da", "uh-oh", "bye-bye", "outside" and every now and then when he gets desperate for help he lets out a "ma-ma."

*He has started making a fish face, sticking out his tongue/slithering like a snake and clapping on command. It is too funny!

*He can hold up his index finger when you ask him "How old is Sam?"

*He LOVES music and dancing. He can be sitting down or standing up just about anywhere and if he hears any kind of music he breaks out into a dance, rocking back and forth or bouncing up and down.

*He is extremely observant and loves to people watch when we go out to eat or shop.

It is truly amazing and so much fun to watch him learn new things each and every day.
