After many months of planning, the day finally arrived!
We packed our bags, put our Mickey luggage tags on and got ready to go meet Mickey.
This was Sam's reaction this morning when he woke up and I was finally able to say, "We're going to Disney World today!!"
Me and Jack taking the customary first flight picture in front of the Southwest desk at the Jackson International Airport.
Our flight was relatively short (1.5 hours) so it wasn't too hard to keep the boys occupied with skittles and toys until we landed in Orlando.
Upon arrival at the airport, Disney's Magical Express bus picked us up and drove us to our resort.
At the hotel front desk we were given these cards that we would use all week to get into the parks, eat, and charge any extra purchases that weren't included in our vacation package.
They also gave both of the boys "1st Visit" buttons to wear.
After we got all of the paperwork out of the way, we set off to find our room at the All-Star Movies Resort.
Our room was in the Toy Story wing and as soon as Toy Story objects started appearing everywhere Sam got VERY excited.
The Buzz outside of our room was HUGE!!!
We didn't stay in the room long because it was way past dinner time and everyone was starving. We put our bags down and went to catch a bus to Downtown Disney. We chose the T-Rex Cafe for dinner and paid a visit to Build-A-Dino while we waited for a table. Here is Sam helping with the machine that was putting the stuffing inside his dinosaur.
Sam named his dinosaur George.
We all helped Jack name his dinosaur Rory.
The boys got really cool dinosaur hats to wear while we ate dinner.
It was super late by the time we got our food and Jack was starting to fade. See those sleepy eyes??
No matter how sleepy and tired they were, these boys had to go dig for dinosaur bones before we left the restaurant to go back to the hotel for bedtime. We got back to our rooms pretty late, but were so excited about our first day at the park it was hard to sleep. So glad to finally be at Disney World!!
