Welcome, Cousin Hayes!

Thursday morning we all headed to Woman's Hospital to await the arrival of our new cousin Hayes.

Pop Pop definitely got a workout while he waited - two big boys in his arms!

Around 1:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Hayes Thomas Eaton arrived and both he and his mama did great. We were all so excited as we watched Uncle Easy and Banks bringing baby Hayes down the hall to meet everyone.

Later Thursday afternoon, Sam and I went back up to the hospital to visit with everyone and get our hands on Hayes for just a few minutes. Sam was so excited about getting to touch him and couldn't stop hugging and kissing on him - it was too sweet!

Before we left, all of the boys got in the bed with Aunt Didi and had a group hug. They are going to have so much fun together when they get a little older.

Friday night, Uncle Adam was FINALLY able to meet his new nephew. Unfortunately he had been out of town on business for the week and missed all of the excitement on Thursday but he made up for lost time as soon as his plane hit the ground.

Hayes was able to come home from the hospital a little after lunch today and Sam kept asking repeatedly to "See Baby" so we went over to their house to welcome him home and get a few more hugs and kisses.

We are so excited that Hayes is here and is healthy and doing great. I can't wait to watch another sweet boy grow up. We love you, Hayes!

Look who stopped by Easter morning?

I guess the Easter Bunny heard that Sam had been very good lately and he left him some pretty cool stuff!

Adam and I went to wake Sam up so he could play with his gifts and we found this smiling sleepy head.
It didn't take him long to wake up and want to play, so Dad helped him open up a few toys before it was time to go to church.
After church, we headed to Bobi and Pop Pop's house for lunch. Adam's family, my family and Eric's family, in addition to a few close friends, gathered to eat together. We had over 30 people and it was so nice to have everyone in one place for a few hours.

He had to take one sniff of the flowers before it was time to head inside to change clothes and get ready for the Easter egg hunt!

Sam and Banks had so much fun looking for eggs, but I'm pretty sure the 30 grown ups had an even better time watching them.

But again, we had a hard time convincing Sam that the eggs were meant to go in the basket and not to be used as a ball. ;)

After the egg hunt was over, Sam and "Fuffie" got in a quick game of egg baseball before it was time to go home and take a nap.

We are so blessed to have such a special group of family and friends and we enjoy all of the time spent together.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the neighborhood easter egg hunt and Sam was pretty excited about going!

He grabbed his basket and headed for the door.

He loved watching all of the children...

but when it was time to hunt he got down to business.

He found a few in the flowerbeds and quickly filled up his basket!

Our biggest challenge wasn't finding the eggs but convincing Sam that the eggs weren't balls and to keep them in his basket instead of throwing them.

After the egg hunt, we headed to the pool to relax and cool off.

What a fun afternoon we had together!

"Outside, Peeeez!"

This little boy absolutely LOVES to be outside and I just can't resist that face standing at the back door saying "Outside, Peeeez!"

Happy Birthday, Annelyse!

This afternoon we went to Pump It Up to help our friend Annelyse celebrate her 4th birthday! Annelyse's daddy, William, and Adam have been friends since they were 10 and I think it is so neat that now they both have kids that are close in age.

On the way to the party, Adam turned on the radio to try to catch a minute of Rebel baseball. The National Anthem was being sung when we tuned in and towards the end of the song I turned around to look at Sam and found him as still as he could be with his little hand over his heart. It was so sweet!

It didn't take these boys long to start jumping....

and playing once the party started.

And I still can't decide whether the big boys or the little boys had more fun but a good time was had by all, that's for sure. Thanks to Annelyse for inviting us!
