Look At That Form!

Attention Kroger Shoppers...

...we have spotted a fast driver on aisle 3.

I swore I would never, ever get caught going through the grocery store with one of those extremely large carts with the car on the front. Well, never say never! Sam spotted this large car/shopping cart combo today as we were walking into Kroger and I couldn't say no to his sweet little face. He had so much fun "driving" while I shopped and waved out the car window to just about everyone we passed. I'm pretty sure my inability to make a few corners was also amusing to anyone watching. The things you do for your children! ;)

Fun at the Splash Pad

We met Daddy at the Renaissance splash pad after he got off work today. Sam loves to play in the water and we thought it was the perfect thing to do on such a hot, hot day. It doesn't get much better than cooling off in the fountain and eating a burger from Five Guys!

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a large family gathering at Pop Pop and Bobi's house to celebrate the Fourth of July.

There were lots of aunts, uncles and cousins to play with and Sam's face in this picture says it all. He wasn't so sure about the big crowd at first but it didn't take him too long to warm up and start having a great time.

Aunt Johnnie, Me, Baby Hayes and Mimi decided to stay indoors and visit where it was cool while the boys all played ball outside.

Adam and Eric were the official outdoor chefs for the day and made some delicious hamburgers and hot dogs. Everyone else chipped in and brought side dishes to go with our meal and Aunt Johnnie and Mimi even made us homemade ice cream. It was all so yummy!

Patriotic Cousins

We had such a fun time visiting with everyone and eating some delicious food. Unfortunately, the partying had to end when nap time snuck up on us. We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July!

Sam's First Movie in a Theater

This afternoon we took Sam to the Parkway Place Theater in Flowood to see Disney's Cars 2. It was his first time to see a movie in a theater and he was very excited since he loves the first Cars movie so much.

Of course, it wouldn't be a real trip to the movies without a big fountain drink and popcorn. Sam also brought his Mater toy along to watch the movie with him. This movie seemed much longer than the first one and the story line was a little harder to follow, in my opinion. Sam did a pretty good job of sitting still for such a little guy and only got restless towards the very end.

After the movie we went to Toys "R" Us to make a Wish List for a special little boy that is about to celebrate his 2nd birthday. Family outings are the best!
