Fun with Sarah and Lulu

This morning Sarah and Lulu came over to bring Christmas presents for the boys and to see what Santa brought.

Silly Sam dancing and entertaining us all.

Sam made everybody run and hide in his bed.  He said the alligators were coming!

Thank y'all for braving the rain on such a yucky day to come bring us presents and play.  We enjoyed it!

Visit with Sissy

We were thrilled to be able to see my aunt Sissy while she was in town for the holidays.  It has been a while since we last visited with her because she has been very busy finishing up school to become a Nurse Practitioner.  She just recently graduated and found out she passed the Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam.  We are so proud of you, Sissy!

Sam had been itching to open his 1,000 piece superhero art set that Santa brought so we all got in the floor after lunch and started opening everything.  Sam and Sissy played stickers and stamps and Jack enjoyed crawling on the packaging.  :)

Rusty could sense a dog lover from the moment she walked in the door.  He gave her lots of puppy kisses and liked snuggling with her on the couch.  Thanks for coming to visit us, Sissy!  We miss you already!

Happy Holiday Wishes

Merry Christmas from The Milners!

Special thanks to Martha Grace Gray Photography for our family photo.

Christmas at Mimi's

Tonight we went over to Mimi's house to continue our Christmas celebration with Adam's extended family.
Sam patiently waited on the couch for our annual family pictures to begin.
Wouldn't you love to know what Hayes and Jack are saying to each other?

A good time was had by all as we spent the evening eating delicious food and visiting with family.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Morning

What are the chances that Adam and I would both wake up at 6:30 this morning and have to wait more than two hours for our children to wake up??  Sam didn't wake up until 8:30 and we had to wake sleepy Jack up.

Look what Santa brought!  These two must have been really good this year!  Sam walked around the corner into the living room and was so excited to see the "Ninjan" Turtle House he had been wanting for so long.

Jack posing by Sam's new bike.

They loved looking at all of their stuff and it wasn't long before Sam wanted to dig into the stockings.

Jack loving on his new Peek-a-boo bear!  He was the cutest thing patting his head and hugging him.

Boys will be boys!  All three of them had to study the "Ninjan" Turtle House.  Aren't they cute?

Sam loved his new Jeep bike.  I was so sad that it was pouring down rain outside when we woke up so we made an exception and let him ride all through the house.  Watch out, Jack!

Santa didn't forget Rusty.  He left him a great big bone to chew on from now until next Christmas!

My Christmas babies

Sam got a pair of straw drinking glasses in his stocking.  It was the funniest thing to watch him sip through these!

Daddy had to try them out, too!

We had such a fun morning watching the excitement on the boys' faces as they saw their presents and played with them together.  We are so thankful for our many blessings and a warm place to celebrate together as a family this Christmas morning.  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Tonight we celebrated Christmas with my family at our house.  I was so excited to have the opportunity to finally host and cook for two ladies that have fed me countless times in my life.  It was Lili and Meme's turn to be waited on this Christmas!  We had one of our new favorites, white chicken chili, along with green bean casserole (it didn't really go with the rest of my menu but it was Adam's request), cornbread, hot apple cider,  and an apple caramel pound cake.  Everybody enjoyed the food and the time spent together!

Jack and Shuffie

Meme and Sam playing at the Lego table.

Meme brought Adam an Ole Miss Santa hat.  Sam loved wearing it!

But Jack wasn't so sure about it.

Happy boy enjoying his Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas, Meme!

After dinner and pictures it was finally present time!  We had barely passed any out and Sam started tearing into his first one!

Silly boy giving somebody "the eye."

After we finished opening presents I went to change Jack into his PJs.  Once he was dressed I put him down, fully expecting him to crawl back into the living room where everyone was, while I quickly looked for something in his room.  I was wrong!  He crawled down the hall and into the bathroom.  When I peeked around the corner....this is what I found!

He was so proud of himself for pulling the paper off and immediately started clapping and grinning when I walked in.  He better be glad he is cute and there wasn't a lot of paper left on the roll.  I couldn't do anything but laugh and scoop him up for a hug.  It's almost Christmas!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Yummy!

Last, but certainly not least, it was time to make cookies to leave out for Santa.

Chef Sam was dressed and ready for the challenge.

I decorated with some icing and Sam followed behind me with LOTS of red sprinkles! ;)  Our cookies turned out delicious and I know Santa will really enjoy them when he stops by.  Can't wait to see what he brings Sam and Jack tonight!  Merry Christmas!
