Poor Jack has been struggling all week with some congestion and coughing. We saw Dr. Sherwood on Tuesday and she thought he probably just had a cold that we should treat symptomatically. Jack's cough got progressively worse as the week went on, and then tonight at dinner he acted like he could hardly catch a breath. I called the after-hours clinic and fortunately we got their last appointment for the night. Dr. Adcock walked in the room and immediately wanted to test Jack for RSV He said they had seen more RSV than flu in the day clinic this week and that it was a good possibility that Jack had it as well. Sure enough, the test came back positive and we were sent home with a nebulizer for breathing treatments.
Jack was a trooper and was very cooperative during his first treatment tonight.
Big brother Sam was such a good cheerleader and held Jack's hand until the treatment was over.
It breaks my heart to see one of my babies sick! Get well soon, sweet Jack!
