Pumpkin Patch

This morning we headed out to the Nichols-Boyd pumpkin patch in Brandon to pick out our pumpkins and have some fun family time - just the three of us. This was the first time any of us had been out there and it was such a neat place! I can't believe I have lived in Rankin County my entire life and NEVER been out there before today.
We had to stand in line and wait for the hayride but Sam immediately found some pumpkins out front and kept himself busy while we waited.

Still patiently waiting....
Here we go...loaded up on the trailer and ready for the hayride!

The hayride had quite a few stops along the way before we reached the pumpkins. We saw all kinds of different animals and Sam loved it! The funniest part was when we stopped to see the goats. Sam was standing up on the side and I softly whispered to tell him that the goats said "Baaaa" to which Adam immediately responded, "They don't say that!" but before he could tell Sam differently, Sam proceeded to let out the loudest "Baaaa" you could imagine and everyone around us started laughing. I do still believe that the goat sound is pretty close to "Baaaa" no matter what Adam says! :)

Sam keep peeping over the edge every time we would get close to another animal - he didn't want to miss a thing.

I decided to let Adam finish up with the animal sounds for the rest of the hayride after the goat incident...
Once we stopped near the place where we picked the pumpkins, Sam was able to play in the corn. It wasn't long before he tried to eat some so we decided to move along.

Look at all of those pumpkins...how would we ever choose?

Sam found one that he loved..

but he was sweet enough to keep looking for the perfect pumpkins for Mom and Dad!

They found one for Dad

and another one for Mom. We had our three pumpkins and were ready to go!

But not without taking a few more pictures on the hay.

We had a wonderful time together and look forward to making this a yearly tradition for our family.
Happy Fall!
