Circus Fun

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus has been in town for the past few days performing their "Zing, Zang, Zoom" show and we were so excited to be able to take Sam to his first circus this afternoon.

He was all smiles while we were waiting to get in.

We arrived about an hour before the show was supposed to start for a special ringside performance.

Some of the clowns and performers came out to do their tricks...

...and they had some amazing little dogs that were Sam's favorite.

They invited the kids to come into the ring and dance but Sam was pretty happy watching all of the action from his daddy's lap.

We were all in for quite a surprise at the end of the ringside performance. One of the elephants walked out and was so close that we could almost reach out and pat his leg! With the help of some trainers, the elephant did some "feet painting" and then ate an entire loaf of bread in one bite as his treat for doing such a good job. The show itself was really great and was full of different animals, music and dancing and even some motorcycle tricks.

Of course, we couldn't leave without stopping by the souvenir stand so Sam could pick out something to help remember his first circus. Shuffie and Lili bought him this cute little stuffed elephant that he fell in love with and he was all smiles as we left. What a fun day at the circus!
