When the Lost is Finally Found

I was sitting on the bed this morning feeding Morgan her breakfast when Jack walked in trying to find a hiding place.  He and Sam were playing hide-and-seek and he was thinking about taking refuge behind the bathroom door near Morgan's pack-n-play.  He looked behind the pack-n-play like he was thinking about moving it and within five second his head popped up and he started looking at me with this strange look on his face.  Sort of a semi-guilty, "uh oh" kind of face.  I asked him what was wrong and he immediately started mumbling something and looking away.  Then he walked back over to the pack-n-play and pulled out Sam's lost "meanie" that had been wedged between the wall and the pack-n-play unbeknownst to any of us.  I was shocked, but I honestly think Jack was too.

I called for Sam and he was so surprised and happy to see his long-lost meanie.  After talking to Jack for a while, I decided it was probably really an honest mistake.  He and Sam had been playing a few weeks back and he hid the meanie, not intending to lose it, and I think he just forgot it was back there.  Much to his surprise, he found it accidentally and wasn't sure how to break the news to us.  No worries, though.  We got a lot of laughs out of this story and Sam was just happy that his favorite blanket had finally been found.

Rusty Loves Baseball, Too!

Sweet-Talking Daddy

First Ice Cream Truck Experience

Tonight, while we were playing at the Flowood park, I heard the music from an ice cream truck in the distance.  The boys had never experienced a treat from an ice cream truck so I was hopeful it was headed our way.

Sure enough, the truck pulled into the parking lot at the park and tons of kids immediately started running towards it and forming a line.  We walked the boys over to the side of the truck so they could pick out what they wanted to eat.  They were in awe!

They both chose rainbow popsicles.

So good!

These sweet boys were so excited for an unexpected treat on this hot summer night.  We had a blast!

"Don't Say 'Oh My Gosh!'"

I have to document this so I will never, ever forget it.  Especially since this definitely ranks as one of the funniest things we've experienced with Jack, to date.

Recently we've started talking to Jack about using the potty like a big boy.  He just isn't interested at all and is totally fine when Sam calls him a baby for wearing diapers.  Adam has tried to discourage him a little bit, as well, and will say things to him about how he should try using the potty while he changes his diaper.  Not long ago Adam was changing Jack's poop diaper and it was a doozy to say the least.  He opened the diaper and immediately said, "Oh. My. Gosh."  Well, fast forward to today and Jack walks by with a suspicious odor following him.  Adam asks him if he has a poop.  He quickly looks right at him and replies, "No."  After asking a few more times, Adam finally gets the truth out of Jack...."Yes, but don't say 'Oh my gosh!''  How funny is he!
