After VBS today, Sam and I drove over to Trinity Presbyterian Church to his friend Judson's birthday party. Sam and Judson met this semester at CUMC's MMO. They were the only two boys in their class and really hit it off. Sam cracks me up when he talks about him, though, because he calls him "Jetson" and I don't have the heart to correct him! :)
The party was on the church playground and these boys sure had fun climbing.
After some playground fun, there was a book swap before the party ended. The invitation had asked that each child bring a new, wrapped book instead of a gift to the party. All of the wrapped books were placed in a basket and every child got to grab a new book to take home as a party favor. What a great idea!
Sam had a ball at the party and was so glad to see Judson again. MMO has been over for a few weeks and he has really been missing his friends!
Happy Birthday, Judson! We had a blast celebrating with you!
